COVID-19 Operational Update

Since 1936, our mission has been serving our members, and although times have changed, our commitment to helping you hasn’t.

The safety and welfare of our members, employees and the communities we serve are a top priority and like you, we’re continuing to monitor the latest news and updates about the coronavirus.

We strongly encourage you to take advantage of our digital resources for self-service banking and 24/7 account access. FEFCU offers Online Banking as a way to access your accounts and manage your money from the comfort of your home or workplace, 24 hours a day. Online banking will allow you to check balances, transfer money, schedule payments, request checks and more.

Operations

In order to comply with the current recommendations pertaining to public gatherings and social distancing, and to protect the health of our members and staff we are limiting access to the lobby to 1 member at a time and are asking that you please limit your visits to the credit union. Please call in advance if you must visit the credit union.

We highly encourage Members to use our Online Banking to check balances, transfer funds, sign up for electronic statements and utilize our website applications. Members looking to meet with a Loan Officer in person may do so by scheduling an appointment by calling 330-535-3611 or emailing us.

Everyone’s situation is different, and we want to assure FirstEnergy Family Credit Union is prepared to work with you and your family to find solutions that work for your unique needs.

Loan Payment Deferral Program – If you are facing a financial hardship related to sickness in your family or workplace closures due to COVID-19 and you contact FEFCU, we will work together with you to form a plan.

No early withdrawal fee on certificates. We understand you might need access to your savings, so we’ll be waiving penalties for early withdrawals on certificates

Free transfers. Login to Virtual Branch to make or schedule transfers to your FEFCU loans and share accounts or transfer money with other financial institutions.
